Presbyterian Home for Children

Cahaba Springs has a long tradition of supporting the efforts of the Presbyterian Home for Children in Talledega.

Cahaba Springs Church members and friends head to the Home on the first Friday of each month to provide volunteer services. We paint, do light carpentry, office work, or work on the grounds, depending on the Home's needs. We gather at 7 am in the Home Depot parking lot just behind Jim 'N Nicks in Trussville, have breakfast at Jack's, then head to the Home.  We typically return about 3 pm. Contact George Fritsma at 205-821-5641 or gfritsma@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer, and to learn plans for each month.

In addition to the monthly workday, we contribute to the Home by collecting designated offerings throughout the year, providing Christmas gifts for the residents, and donating used items to the Home's Thrift Store.
