CSPC Worship: Epiphany Sunday

Cahaba Springs Members and Friends, let's unite for worship and Holy Communion on Epiphany Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 11. We are led by liturgist Lynda McLean and pastor deNay Kirkpatrick. Our gospel readings are from Matthew 2 and Luke 3. Our instrumental anthem is "We Three Kings."

From Sunday's bulletin: The use of star words is a prayer practice connected to Epiphany and the new year. We will celebrate this practice today, the first Sunday following Epiphany. Individual intention words, or guiding words, will be placed in baskets at the end of the front pews. During Holy Communion, following the taking of the elements, you are invited to draw a word from the baskets and to use that word as a guiding word throughout the year. Place your star word somewhere you will see it regularly throughout the year and reflect on how God is moving through, around, or in connection to that word in your life.

If you are unable to attend worship on January 7th, but would like a Star Word, let the church office know and we‘ll send you a word.

Come home to Cahaba!
