YOGA (QI GONG)

Each Tuesday at 1 pm, Mary Lynne Robbins leads a class in Qi Gong.

Qi Gong (also known as Chi Kung, Chi Gung, or Yoga) is a holistic system of coordinated body-posture, movement, breathing and meditation.  No mat is needed, and all movements are performed from a standing position. The degree of energy exerted while performing these exercises is up to each participant and usually increases with repetition of the same movements over time.

 

Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended, but the exercises can be done barefoot. Each class lasts for approximately 40 minutes. 

 

Women and men are welcome, but overall participation is limited to 12, so please call or email the church office to sign up.  Childcare can be arranged with advance notice. There is no charge for the class.
