Sunday, January 12: The Gift of Water
Cahaba Springs members and friends, 2020 is underway with many opportunities for study, fellowship, and service. This Sunday at 5:30 our youth gather in Fellowship Hall to assemble bags for the Rudd Middle School Backpack Buddy program. Then on Tuesday at 1, our popular Qi Gong Yoga class continues under the leadership of Mary Lynn Robbins. Qi Gong offers a workout and balance exercises for women and men and requires no mat or special Yoga clothes. We offer our customary Wednesday evening activities, Thursdays Together, 10–11:30, our Presbyterian Home for Children work day Friday, 7 AM–3 PM, and Chordmakers on Friday at 5:30. Looking into the future, our book club next meets Wednesday, January 29 at 4:30. This month’s discussion led by Leigh Stovall reviews A Prayer for Owen Meany by author John Irving.
Finally, join us this Sunday, January 12 for Bible study at 9:30 and worship at 11 led by liturgist Julie Helmers and Pastor James D. McLeod. Dr. McLeod's sermon title is The Gift of Water, based on Isaiah 42 and Matthew 3. Our Chancel Choir presents Come, Christians, Join to Sing.
