Earth-Sky-Water Weaving Reception March 31, 2019

Cahaba Springs hosted a reception for family, friends, and the artists who prepared and exhibited their weavings, using colors related to the theme of earth, sky, or water. The weavings were created by students in weekend classes taught by Laura Reichert, with assistance by Arnold Reichert. The exhibit opened on March 1 and will continue for several weeks into April. The stunning display shows an amazing variety of colors, designs, and compositions; each one is unique! Laura states that her purpose in offering these classes was not only teach techniques of weaving, but also to foster more interest and knowledge to appreciate this art of textile production. The reception was curated by Laura and Arnold and hosted by the CSPC Presbyterian Women. We thank everyone who participated in this beautiful event.
