Down By the Riverside

Cahaba Springs Church Members and Friends: Join us this Sunday, October 6 for Bible study at 9:30 and worship at 11. Our service is led by liturgist David Perry and our own pastoral candidate, Carl Martin. Mr. Martin's sermon title is Down by the Riverside, based on II Timothy 1, Psalm 137 and Lamentations 3. Our Chancel Choir provides the anthem, And Christ Be All in All.

Each Tuesday at 1:00 pm Mary Lynne Robbins leads a Yoga (Qi Gong) class. All movements are performed in a standing position, so no mat is needed. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended, but the exercises can be done barefoot. There is no charge.

On Sunday, October 13 at 6:30 Cahaba Springs will host An Evening With Doug Jones. Senator Jones speaks about his book Bending Toward Justice: The Birmingham Church Bombing that Changed the Course of Civil Rights. There will be a book signing following the presentation.

Please mark your calendars and invite your friends to our Stop the Bleed presentation sponsored by UAB. The program is on Wednesday, October 30 at 6. Stop the Bleed equips bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency. Please call the church office to register.

Remember to join the Chordmakers each Friday at 5:30 for a covered dish dinner followed by an evening of music featuring gospel tunes, bluegrass, and pops. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please visit our web site, CSPChurch.org for additional learning, fellowship, and service opportunities. The peace of Christ be with you!
