Greetings Cahaba Springs Family! I hope this email finds you doing well. This Sunday we will be continuing our journey through Matthew’s Gospel and I will be preaching on Matthew 10:24-39. Some have commented that this is one of the notoriously difficult passages in Matthew where Jesus says, "I came not to send peace, but a sword." I hope you will join us, in person or online, as we struggle to find what God is saying to us in this passage. In addition to our worship service, join us for our intergenerational Church School class which is discussing The Way Back to Mayberry, Lessons From a Simpler Time. This class meets at 9:30 in Harmony Hall and is open to all ages. On Sunday, July 2nd, we will have a special worship service using hymns from the Glory to God hymnal to sing our way through worship. A special thank you to Joe Carter for helping to develop this meaningful service. Remember, I am in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays.
